Get Color-barred!

By Posted on 6 3 m read 1.4K views

Thank you everyone for loving the Bronze make-up look. I thought of reviewing the 2 lipsticks I used in that look, they are both from Colorbar and will be reviewed individually. Both the colors suited the look creating different feels.

  1. 032 Coco Cuddle (Crème Touch Range)
    2. 004 Drizzle – Feel the Rain Matte Lipsticks

While Colorbar Coco Cuddle created a subtle nude look, Drizzle made it bold.

Coco Cuddle
A nude brown from Colorbar with a neon hint. The swatch might give the feel of a peachy tinge but does not look the same when applied on the lips.

It nourishes the lips with the Vitamin-E, sheabutter and sun protection of SPF 15

Price: INR 499

Quantity: 4.2 g

Packaging: It has silver cylindrical body, sturdy and easy to carry in your purse. It has a metallic purple rim from where the cap opens. The brand name is written on the cap in white. The shade name and number along with the quantity is written at the bottom of the tube making it easy to locate. .

Application: It has a pointed bullet that ensures easy application. You might not see the proper shape of the bullet here as I have used the color quite a bit.

Pigmentation: Color saturation is good; Because of its creamy texture I need 2 swipes to get a opaque finish. It has a neon hint to it. This color will not suit all skin tones and might wash out few.

Feel: Creamy and saucy, and a bit more creamy. This glides beautifully on the lips making them look fuller and is ideal for dry lips. But it’s true to its promise of making the lips look luscious.

Stay: It transfers a lot because of its creamy texture. Without meal it lasts for 2-3 hours on my lips. With a light meal it fades off leaving a light hint that too fades off in the next hour. Therefore, not happy with the staying power. I will not buy it again but for the color, it is a sure one time buy. Retouch needed and easily removable.

A brown, from Colorbar, suitable for all skin tones. I am in love with the color and packaging.

It boasts to protect the lips against harmful UV rays and nourishing the lips. They have 5 essential oils – Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil, Vitamin E, Argan Oil and Moringa Oil.

Price: INR 650

Quantity: 4.2 g

Packaging: YES. THE BEST PART. The pretty packaging of this lipstick is what attracted me in the first place. The case has a metallic finish, also the color matches the shade of the lipstick <3<3 It has dew drops all over the tube and same on the paper box it comes in. The packaging is a sure show-off 😛 It is pretty, period.

Application: A bullet with sharp edges. No problem whatsoever with the application because of the edges but a pointed tip makes it easier always.

Pigmentation: Color pay-off is good if not the best. Need 2-3 swipes to get an opaque finish. It is a bold color that will look good on all skin stones.

Feel: It feels good on the lips and settles to a perfect matte finish without making the lips dry.  A  Thumbs up (y).

Stay: Keeps up for a good 3-4 hours time but transfers to cups. After that, leaves a hint on the lips which does not look  bad either. Easily removable.
